IT’S a mega project that costs almost RM1billion and it is taking shape at Kanchong Laut in the Kuala Langat district.
The Gold Coast Morib will house, among other attractions, a hotel mall, resort and condominium.
The project is to revive Morib into a popular destination for picnickers, a reputation it once had.

The project, which will be completed in Dec 2008, is expected to be a big hit with tourists as it is strategically located, within a 30-minute drive of Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang.
The development includes 686 condominium unitsin the shape of suites, said chief executive officer Datuk Alex Tan
He said there were 476 single bedroom suites, 140 two bedroom suites,, 70 three bedroom suites and 28 penthouses priced at RM103,888, RM138,888, RM168,888 and RM428,888, respectively.
“We are now promoting the units with built-in furniture, electrical appliances and fittings as provided in the model units.
“We are also offering the units without legal and documentation fees as part of the promotion for those who book within this month,” he told StarMetro recently.
“A four-star hotel mall with four restaurants serving Chinese, Japanese, Western and vegetarian food will provide tourists with quality holiday and dining facilities.
“A water theme park and a children’s fun park will be other attractions along with Lady’s World, which is a club filled with activities for women including a spa, fashion house and boutique.
“We will also offer a professional Day Care Centre at our Child’s World,” he said, adding that the centre offered 5,000 toys for rental at RM1 each.
Tan said the kilometre-long private beach would also offer holiday opportunities.
Besides holidaymakers, Tan said Gold Coast Morib would be an idle spot for conventions as its ballroom could seat 5,000 people.

“We can place 250 tables that can take 2,500 people for a banquet,” he added
For who were interested in buying properties, he said the company was offering 35% returns within five years.
“We will allow purchasers to rent-back the properties to us so that we can service them with the monthly rental plus 50 days free-stay at their suites over the five year period,” he said
