SEREMBAN: Port Dickson, famed for its tranquil beaches, may soon be used for “healing” purposes.
This is by way of setting up spas and centres for the sick to recuperate.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the plan was to establish the country’s first “wellness zone” in Port Dickson.
He said incentives would be provided to companies interested in opening such health-tourism businesses there.
“There are companies interested in setting up international spas and other health tourism facilities.
“There could even be an international medical centre there one day,” he told reporters after chairing the weekly state exco meeting.
The MB assured that there would not be any over-development, adding that things would be properly managed.
Mohamad also spoke of a plan to create a “python centre” to display the snakes from various countries.
