The Genting Highlands Resort targets some 500,000 people to watch its RM13mil production - Fly.
Fly tells a story of 1,000 years into the future when two tribes - the Waterlings and Skyfires - fight to survive.
The evil Skyfires, who are bigger and stronger, also have the advantage of flight.
With every full moon. hundreds of skyfires take flight to attack the virtually defenceless Waterlings, who hide to survive.
The Fly, which made its debut last month, is shown nightly at the Pavilion until Jan 1, next year, said Resorts World Bhd's assistant director (sales, shows and events) Leonard Chua on Thursday.
Resorts World is the owner of Genting Highland Resorts, which now boasts the world's largest hotel with 6,118 guest rooms.
He said the Fly replaced Genting's another multi-million rnggit production - the Mysteria.
``The Genting Highlands Resort received a record 18mil visitors last year. About 40% of them were foreigners, with Singaporeans making up the largest single foreign group,'' he told reporters.
He said with Visit Malaysia Year 2007, the resort was targetting more visitors.
The resort recorded some 80% hotel occupancy rate last year.
