Travel Firm Offers Free KL Tours

KUALA LUMPUR: To enable tourists, especially foreign ones, to go home with sweet memories of their holidays here, a travel agency is offering free bus tours of Kuala Lumpur for the whole of this year.

Cacinjo Holidays Sdn Bhd will provide two trips – at 8.30am and 1.30pm daily – and the pick-up point is in front of the Malaysia Handicraft Complex at Jalan Conlay.

Foreign tourists have to bring along their passports while local tourists have to call and book first as the number of seats for Malaysians is limited.

The city tour is targeted at foreign tourists like backpackers, budget and student travellers, tourists on transit flights, business and convention tourists on a short stay with their spouses.
Tourists who want to be picked up from their hotels will be charged RM10 each.

The bus will go to places such as Selangor Pewter, the national palace, the Parliament building, National Monument, batik and handicraft shops and Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

The free tours are sponsored by The Royal Selangor with the support of the Kuala Lumpur City Council and the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2007.

According to sales and customer executive of Cacinjo Holidays, Suriani Shamsurie, the effort would promote her agency and boost the number of tourists visiting Malaysia.

Those interested in the free tours can call 03-2770 1750 or 012-200 1429 or visit www.cacinjoholidays.com.
