Tune Hotels.com, which opens its flagship “no-frills” hotel today, aims to take advantage of the growing budget hotels segment to push its expansion plans in the future.
It said in a statement budget hotels had registered up to 90% occupancy rates following the booming budget airlines industry, where players offered aggressive promotions.
The hotel offers 173 single and double rooms, where guests are given an option for add-on amenities like soap, towel and air-conditioner. Automated teller machine services, an Internet room and currency exchange services will also be made available.
Tune Hotels.com teamed up with strategic partners Pensonic Holdings Bhd, Nippon Paint (M) Sdn Bhd and Johnson Suisse (M) Sdn Bhd for various outfitting items. Rooms are secure, with chip-card access and extensive CCTV cameras placed throughout the premises.
Tune Hotels.com is also teaming up with myNEWS.com to operate a 24-hour convenience store. There is also an eatery on the ground floor.
