National carrier Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has been ranked a “5-Star Airline” again by airline industry research advisors Skytrax for excellent service quality and product delivery as well as customer service on long-haul and regional route.
In a statement, MAS said the star ranking awards were based on the “total” travel experience an airline delivered to its customers and the friendliness or efficiency of staff on the ground and onboard flights.
Skytrax conducted the assessment between November and December 2006.
Skytrax chief executive officer Edward Plaisted said the ranking was a highly exclusive quality award.
“This is confirmed by the fact that just three other airlines in the world have achieved this status,” he said. – Bernama
