AirAsia Cancels Flight to Clark Airport

PETALING JAYA: Budget carrier AirAsia has cancelled its flights in and out of Clark International Airport today as Typhoon Durian slammed into northern Philippines yesterday bringing heavy rains and strong winds.

An AirAsia Bhd spokesman said the cancellations were due to the unpredictable weather conditions.

“All passengers on the cancelled flights will be rescheduled to travel on the next available seats.”

AirAsia was scheduled to take off from the KL International Airport (KLIA) at 7.20am today and depart from Clark International Airport – some two hours by road from Manila – at 11.45am.

Malaysia Airlines (MAS), on the other hand, has not cancelled its flights to and from Manila today.

The MAS flight departs at 10.15am from KLIA for Manila and at 3.20pm from Manila for KLIA.
