BERLIN - With the growing influx of visitors into Asia and the rise in regional travel, hotel room supply is keeping up in some South-East Asian countries.
Said R Prabkaran, director of business development, Mutiara-TCB, "In Kuala Lumpur, hotel room supply is alright whereas there is a shortage in Singapore. So the demand and supply is pretty uneven in South-east Asia."
However, Ray Stone, Accor’s senior vice president sales and marketing, Asia-Pacific region, said, "Overall there is no shortage of rooms in South-east Asia. More hotel rooms are being added online. Accor sees good demand for our economy rooms and we see more investors in hotel rooms in the region."
