The Tourism Ministry expects 1.8 million tourists to visit the country this month and in April.
Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said this was due to both the months being the Grand Prix and F1 race months.
He said tourists arrivals for the month of March and April last year were 1.5mil and 1.4mil respectively, an increase of 8.6% and 8.0% compared to 1.4 million in March and 1.3 million in April in 2005.
Tengku Adnan advised front-liners, especially those working in shopping malls and retail outlets, to flash their best smiles to tourists, especially during the Malaysia Grand Prix Sale 2007 to be held from March 24 to April 22.
