Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen 2007 - Eunice Koh

It was “the night” for Eunice Koh Chiew Wei, who was crowned Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen 2007 yesterday.

The 21-year-old student was the fairest among 17 finalists at the pageant held at the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa.

The 1.6m tall beauty was reduced to tears when her name was announced.

“I cannot believe this. I never expected to win because the other girls were all so beautiful and intelligent. I will do my best in performing my duties,'' said the Johor lass.

Asked by the emcee earlier why she thought she should be the winner, Koh won applause with her patriotic reply:

“It has always been my dream to be an ambassador for the country, as I believe I have the ability and confidence to promote goodwill and peace to the world.”

She won RM5000, a trophy, a sash and a pair of shoes from Bata.

First runner-up was MAS stewardess Joanne Chan Suit Yee, 25, who was also crowned Miss Malaysia Tourism Metropolitan 2007, second runner-up was model Marina Liaw Mei Ee, 21, who was also crowned Miss Malaysia Asia Pacific 2007.
