Olympus (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd unveiled yesterday a mini-travel guide to 10 of Malaysia’s top attractions as its contribution to Visit Malaysia Year.

The 22-page guide, Discover Malaysia’s Top 10 Places, features natural and architectural wonders including the Petronas Twin Towers, Putrajaya, Langkawi and Gunung Kinabalu, captured on film by photographer Kim Teoh.

State Environment and Public Health Minister Datuk Michael Manyin launched the guide.

Olympus managing director Tan Tick Boon said Sarawak was the only state to have two attractions listed in the guide, the Bako National Park and the world heritage site of Mulu National Park.

Some 25,000 copies of the guide will be distributed to Olympus dealers nationwide to be handed out to customers while another 5,000 copies will be included in specialist trade magazines on photography and electronic gadgets.

“We also hope to extend copies of the guide to the Sarawak Tourism Board’s booth at the Kuching International Airport to be distributed to local and foreign visitors,” Tan added.

He also announced that Olympus would introduce a new camera that incorporated Bahasa Malaysia in the instruction manual and user interface.
