Malaysia Airports renews incentives to entice airlines

THE five-year incentive scheme luring airlines to hub through Kuala Lumpur International Airport has been extended from May 2 until the end of this year.

Malaysia Airports Holdings managing director and chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Bashir Ahmad, said a new five-year incentive scheme will take effect in January 2008.

Malaysia Airports Holdings is also waiting for government approval to increase landing and parking charges at the country's airports, which have remained stagnant over the last 25 years.
