Suria KLCC's Discount Card for Tourists

Foreigners who visit Malaysia this year are entitled to apply for the Suria KLCC Tourist Privilege card to enjoy up to 50% off on all normal priced items at the mall.

“I commend Suria KLCC for the initiative and for playing a part in making Malaysia a wonderful shopping destination,” said Deputy Tourism Minister Datuk Donald Lim Siang Chai.

The privilege card is currently applicable in 140 of the mall’s participating outlets and more will be determined later in the year.

Lim said that shopping was a key component in Tourism Malaysia’s strategy to attract tourists.

“It is important to have thriving shopping centres especially in view of Visit Malaysia Year 2007 (VMY07),” he said during the launch of the privilege card at Chinoz in the Park, KLCC, recently.

Apart from having good shopping concepts and format, Lim said, it was also important that these facilities be accompanied with good services.

“It is not nice to see shop assistants greeting customers with long faces,” he said.

Lim also advised retailers to be responsible when fixing prices on their products.

“All products should be of good quality and must be sold at a reasonable price,” he said.
